Description

The Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller: USB-C is a custom board that lets you upgrade your controller by replacing the original MicroUSB connector with a modern, universal USB-C connector.

Replace your old or damaged MicroUSB and upgrade to modern convenience. This USB-C mod kit lets you charge your controller using any standard USB-C charger, including those for your smartphone or laptop.

This board is compatible with the following models:

• Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller (WUP-005)
• PlayStation 3 DualShock Controller ⁽²⁾

NOTES

⁽¹⁾ The connector supports data connection; however, the Wii U Pro Controller does not use it at all. It cannot function as a wired gamepad, neither before nor after the modification. Perhaps Nintendo wired the connector for potential firmware updates.
The data connection can be used with the PlayStation 3 DualShock controller. The console and the computer detect the controller when it is connected

⁽²⁾ There are several controller models. Some have a Mini USB connector with through-hole pins, which is compatible with this mod. Others, such as the VX7 or VX8 versions, have a connector without through-hole pins, and these are not compatible.
Check the installation guide before buying the product and make sure your connector is like the one shown in the photos.
