Sony PSP: USB-C Mod (All models)

Description

The Sony PSP USB-C Kit is a custom board that lets you upgrade your console by replacing the original charging port with a modern, universal USB-C connector.

Replace your old or damaged MiniUSB charging port and upgrade to modern convenience. This USB-C mod kit lets you charge your console using any standard USB-C charger, including those for your smartphone or laptop.

This board is compatible with the following models:

• Sony PSP 1000
• Sony PSP 2000 ⁽¹⁾
• Sony PSP 3000 ⁽¹⁾
• Sony PSP E1000 (Street) ⁽¹⁾

This board is not compatible with the following model:

• Sony PSP Go (Use the specific board for this one)

⁽¹⁾ It is required to use the provided cutting template to slightly trim the USB-C metal shield with scissors. After that, it can be soldered onto the PSP mainboard. Refer to the installation manual for more details.

NOTES

If the original connector is replaced, the option to use PSP accessories like the GPS module will be lost.
