The Sony PSP: USB-C Kit is a board that allows you to replace the original charging connector with a modern and standard USB-C port.

If your original connector is too old or damaged and you need a new one, or if you would like to charge your Sony PSP with a standard USB-C charger, like the charger for your phone or laptop, you can do so with this kit.

This board is compatible with the following models:

  • Sony PSP 2000
  • Sony PSP 3000

Compatibility

The board is compatible with the Sony PSP models 2000 and 3000. It isn’t compatible with the model 1000.

  • The PSP 3000 Monster Hunter special edition might require additional cuts in the case to make room for the kit, according to a customer.

The plastic cover that holds the USB board is intentionally larger than the original one to make it stronger. If you use a compatible shell, you may need to trim it more or less depending on how accurately it replicates the original size.
